Following the completion of Oluwani/Odalume Street rehabilitation, Ladipo Community Development Association (CDA) has appealed to Oshodi-Isolo Local Government authority to officially commission the project and the generator procured to power the street light so as to put it into use.

Commending the local government for the projects, the CDA said it is waiting for its commissioning so that they could be handed over to the community for use and maintenance.

Speaking to ECHONEWS on the projects, the former chairman of the CDA, Deacon Adewale Julius, who appreciated the gesture by the government, said the community is impatient to have the projects commissioned  to make use of them.

His words: “The present state of the road is far better than what it used to be, it is now unique, superb, laudable and commendable.

“We are waiting for official commissioning of the projects so that proper hand over of the generator provided to power the street lights can be put to use.”

For the control of excessive speed on the street, he requested for speed breakers to help check vehicles from over- speeding.

Julius also appealed for the revamping of Odalume link and Shopeju  link to avoid refuse that flow into Odalume street from the links during rainfalls.

He enjoined his successor, the new Ladipo CDA chairman, Mr. Supo Oriola to make the development of the community his priority, saying he would always be ready to support him.
