The extension of the rehabilitation of the Oshodi-Apapa Expresssway to the service lane at Charity bus stop has elicited the praise of the residents as the community development association thanked the government for the project.
The Chairman of Isokan Community Development Association (CDA), Charity Oshodi, Mr. Kazeem Fawole said this will give give free movement and access to vehicles and other road users.
He expressed his joy over the work, noting that traffic jam has gradually been reduced in the axis as the reconstruction work progresses.
He said when completed, the reconstruction of the road will also reduce the dust that is affecting the health of the residents.
He, however, appealed to the motorists to strictly adhere to the road diversion signs and tape barricade along Afariogun Junction, Under Charity pedestrian bridge to avoid obstruction of ongoing road reconstruction exercise.
“The motorists need to comply with the diversion signs and follow alternative routes to their destinations to give the development work the support needed for the job to be accomplished,” he said.
