Oshodi Community Development Association (CDA) has expressed gratitude to the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1, Hon. Hakeem Sokunle for facilitating repair of some streets in the community.

Sokunle had promised during his campaign to influence the state government to reconstruct the roads if re-elected.

In fulfilling his electoral promise, the lawmaker has facilitated the reconstruction of the streets including Ishola-Daniel, Adejumobi and Ago-Ijaiye in Oshodi by the state government.

Though yet to be officially commissioned, the project has been completed and is ready for use.

Speaking on behalf of the community, the CDA chairman, Oladipupo Sulaimon-Lawal, said the execution of the project showed how trustworthy and committed the lawmaker is to his constituency.

Sulaimon-Lawal explained that the community collectively expressed sincere appreciation to the state government and Sokunle to have remembered and fulfilled the promise to community.

The reconstructed roads have served as alternative routes for motorists to avoid traffic jam at Afariogun major road.

The reconstruction was complemented with streetlights to illuminate the streets at night and serve as security to prevent hoodlums from perpetrating their nefarious activities in the community.

Also to complement the effort of the government, the community mounted speed breaks on the streets to control over speeding which could cause accidents.

Expressing their joy as they enjoy the roads, the residents said the project has also prevented the community from flood.
