President of Chekas United, Chief Forwarder Uzoegbo Chekwube Eulick is optimistic about his team’s chances and opportunities at the Dare To Dream Scouting Program scheduled to hold at Inspire pitch, Oshodi.
72 clubs will be participating at the second edition of the Dare To Dream Scouting event where scouts are expected from Europe and South America.
Speaking exclusively to ECHONEWS, Uzoegbo said Chekas are prepared for the scouting program which he’s convinced will greatly improve his team while hoping his players get picked in the process.
He lauded the organizers for providing an initiative which will be a pathway to greener pastures for aspiring professional players in the grassroots.
“We are fully set for the program, although Dare To Dream is a scouting program. The basic thing there is for talent to be scouted, so it’s not strictly about winning. But winning is also involved but rather the basic thing is to scout talent.
So my team is well prepared, so we hope at least one or two talents will be scouted from my team.
“From what I have seen so far, I believe the organizers of Dare To Dream on top gear to see at least a number of decision makers from teams coming over. So eventually we’re having decision makers from teams so I believe it will be a success.
“So I wish every team that’s participating good luck. All matters, whoever that wins, we all win, so it’s a win for all. It’s a win for Nigeria, it’s a win for Lagos, so we believe it’s going to be a success.”
