Chief Rotimi Williams Estate Community Development Association (CDA) has dedicated the bus won as the Best CDA at the 2022 Community Day Ceremony to the member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ifako-Ijaiye constituency I, Hon. Adewale Adedeji for his support towards the development of the Association.
The CDA, led by the Community Development Committee (CDC) chairman, Pastor Samuel Opajobi, took the bus to the Adedeji’s constituency office in his honour.
While appreciating the lawmaker, CDA chairman, Mr. Obazua Orhewere, noted that Adedeji has done greatly for the community despite serving for the first time.
According to him, the support of the lawmaker has contributed to the success of the Association at the ceremony.
Orhewere urged the lawmaker to facilitate more government projects to the estate to complement their own self help projects.
The CDA emerged best overall out of 4,325 CDAs to win a bus during the ceremony held at the Police College Ikeja last month.
Responding, Adedeji was proud to be a member of the community that won the prize, congratulating the CDC and CDA chairmen for winning the ultimate prize in Lagos State.
He, therefore, enjoined the executive members of the association to mobilise support for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.
”With overwhelming victory of all the candidates of the party, there would be concerted efforts towards developing the local government.”
He, thereafter, handed the bus which was earlier presented to him by the CDC chairman to the CDA chairman for use.
