Children Of Africa Leadership and Values Development Initiative (CALDEV) an Osun based non-governmental organisation will hold it’s annual charity walk, tagged ‘Every Child Counts’ in Osogbo, the Capital City of Osun State.
From 2017 to date, the CALDEV Initiative has sensitized the public on the plight and challenges faced by underprivileged children and orphans and has reached out to hundreds of underprivileged children, mostly orphans, in the areas of feeding, clothing, health interventions and education.
According to an information made public by Rep. Bamidele Salam, the Convener of the Charity walk.
“Since 2017, we have sustained a tradition of raising awareness about the plight of motherless children, as we have always staged a Charity walk every December to raise funds for Orphanages.
“The CALDEV Initiative is keen on promoting immediate and lasting hope, confidence and courage in the lives of these little underprivileged children.
“On Saturday, the 24th of December, we will again be doing this through the Children of Africa Leadership and Values Development Initiative (CALDEV).
“Deep gratitude to everyone who has sent in money, clothes and food items.”
The walk will kickoff at the Oke-fia roundabout , Osogbo, by 10am and will be rounded off, with a talent show at the edge of the Freedom Park by 2pm.
