Oshodi Interchange has on Monday, August 9, 2021 commenced transportation service from Oshodi, Lagos to the Eastern part of the country.
According to the management of the company, the interchange has acquired about 15 luxurious buses from some private transport companies to kick start its service to the East.
Expressing his joy over the new development, the Managing Director of Planet Projects, Biodun Otunola, said: “Luxurious buses started operations to the East from Oshodi Interchange today. Our eastern brothers are sisters re so happy. Surely, there’s no ethnicity where there’s no value creation. We thank God for making today a reality, it’s a dream only Lagos, a progressive state can make happen!”
The facility Manager, Mr Yomi Solaja, told ECHONEWS that 15 luxury buses have been acquired and scheduled to ply the route daily.
He said for easy identification and seamless service, passengers’ details would be collected and duly registered in the system before embarking on their journey.
Solaja said the private owners were given specifications of the standard of the buses before being acquired, noting that the interchange has operating standards.
Speaking on their operation so far, he stated that the number of buses and passengers at Terminal 1 has continued to increase since it was commissioned for operation last year.
He said the company anticipates covering all states across the country.
Already, the terminal has been operating to all states in the South West, it is adding Southeast at the end of this month to be followed by South-South and the Northern part of the country.
The facility manager informed that the terminal is opened for business opportunities not only in transportation but other aspects, urging prospective partners to take advantage.
