Breaking News:APC Screening Committee disqualifies Peter Ajayi

Main rival to Hon.Monsuru Obe, incumbent chairman of Ejigbo LCDA in the ongoing contest for the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming local government elections, Mr. Peter Ajayi has been disqualified by the Screening Committee.

Sources at the ACME Ogba Lagos secretariat of the party disclosed that Ajayi could not produce his voter’s card and birth certificate.

The two items are among the requirements listed by the party in its guidelines for the primaries for aspirants seeking to contest on its platform.

The sources said Ajayi ‘s attempt to use his position as the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff to the Governor to influence a review of the decision was rejected by the committee.
