A federal lawmaker representing Ikorodu, Babajimi Benson has revealed plans to illuminate the recently completed Akin Ogunlewe road.
This announcement was made during his inspection of the road, marking a crucial step toward enhancing safety and accessibility in the area.
The Akin Ogunlewe road project, eagerly awaited by the community, was successfully completed in the 3rd quarter of 2023. However, the absence of sufficient street lighting has prompted Rep. Babajimi Benson to take further action, recognizing the need to ensure nighttime safety for the neighborhood.
During his inspection, Benson expressed his unwavering commitment to addressing this issue promptly. He emphasized, “The completion of the Akin Ogunlewe road, saying it is a significant milestone for the community.
He also acknowledged the paramount importance of safety, especially during the night.”
,”To guarantee the safety and convenience of our residents, I am delighted to announce that we will be installing street lights along this road within the next two weeks.” This proactive move is expected to enhance visibility and security for all road users, making nighttime travel safer,” he said.
