The Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government and National Chairman of the Association of Local Government vice chairmen of Nigeria, Hon. Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has sent a message of love and compassion to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Adha.
She encouraged Muslims to celebrate with each other, to be kind and compassionate towards one another as she reminded them that Eid Adha is a time to reflect on their faith and to give thanks for His blessings.
Olabanji-Oba also spoke about the new government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and assured Muslims that the government would meet their expectations soon.
She stipulated that Nigerians will truly be glad of the choice they have made in Tinubu’s Presidency.
She said the government will eventually satisfy the needs of all Nigerians.
She said: “While we thank Allah for His grace and protection over all of us and our communities, the season requires us to rebuild our faith in God and submission to Him, as may be expressed in retaining outstanding relations with fellow humans, enjoining decent and discouraging evils and mischief.
“We must also participate positively in the growth of our community at all times.
“I am using this medium to urge everyone to join hands with the new government at all levels to keep the joint values of being one another’s helper and to develop the state and the country for the benefit of all”, she asserted.
Her message is sure to uplift and encourage Muslims during this important annual celebration.
