The non-profit organisation, christened Tamar Women Skills Development Foundation (TW SDF), is established to empower women for business and family.

She said the Foundation would serve as an avenue for her to give back to the society,  while taking the women folk out of poverty and illicit activities.

“This Foundation will serve as an avenue for me to empower the women as the builders of the nation. The Foundation is committed to training the women on various handiworks which they can do with their hands. After the training, we will monitor their progress and support them with loans and or grants. We are already partnering with some organisations especially financial organisations that could support our members.

“Our vision is to empower women success in life and in the market places. To achieve our aims, we be organising entrepreneurial skill empowerment trainings, coaching and mentoring targeted at women in various locations such as schools to catch them young, markets and other places.
“We will leverage the various technology devices to reach our participants including the social media.

“The Foundation is also aiming at having a Women Centre in Lagos where we can accommodate the thousands of women who come to Lagos daily, accommodate them and train them for six months before releasing them to the society to work rather than being idle and become a burden to the government and the society.

“We therefore seek the Lagos State Government’s support to make this a reality. Soon,  we shall roll out our scheduled programme as we will first embark on sensitisation programme across the country starting from Lagos State.”
The Guest Speaker at the launching of the Foundation, Barr. (Mrs.) Okuchi Chima-Agbara, commended the Founder for establishing such an organisation, saying it would help many hopeless women in the society.
Speaking on the topic ‘Navigating Successful Entrepreneurship in Nigeria’, Chima-Agbara enlightened the participants on how to start and a business and overcome the inherent challenges to stay and grow the business.

She,  therefore, admonished women in the society to b part of rh Foundation while urging the government, individuals, and other orgnisations to support the Foundation to achieve its objectives.
