As activities towards the 2023 general elections gain momentum, the chairman of Mushin LG, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye is not relenting in his efforts towards ensuring that all the registered voters in Mushin are not disenfranchised during the election.
The council boss, who secured over 28,000 votes in the 2021 local government election across Mushin LG, vowed to deliver multiple of his votes for his party during the coming election.
Speaking at a meeting convened with leaders of Community Development Associations/Community Development Committee (CDAs/CDC) in Mushin Local Government, the council chairman charged the community leaders to encourage members of their various communities towards collection of their PVCs, for their eligibility to vote.
Bamigboye analyzed why Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu must emerge as the president of Nigeria, following his antecedents and vision in developing Lagos State, which was halted by the PDP government.
He mentioned the Independent Power Project initiated during the term of Tinubu as governor of Lagos State. He also stated the need for state government to own and operate refineries, citing the case of California (a state in the US) which has over 14 refineries.
Some of the community leaders lamented the attitudes of INEC officials towards members of the public and the need to always hasten up in their response as members of the public are always eager to report back at their duty posts, without any delay.
Bamigboye appealed to the grassroots leaders to intensify their efforts and ensure that every voter gets his PVC without any one left at INEC office.
In his response, the CDC chairman, Alhaji Olatunde Okuwobi, assured the council chairman of their preparedness to mobilize support for the ruling party in the coming general elections.
