Bamigboye Gets Tourism Award

In what was described as an appraisal of performance, support, and promotion of the Tourism sector in his community, through sponsorship of Tourism related activities, the Association of Travel and Tourism Writers Of Nigeria (ATTWON) has awarded Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye for his role in the Support of Community-Based Tourism in Lagos.

The Tourism Award of Excellence was presented to the Chairman of Mushin Local Government during the annual award ceremony organised recently by members of the fourth estate of the realm in the tourism sector.

Representative of the council chairman at the event, Mrs. Ayodamola Kamson-Owolabi (HOD – Tourism, Mushin Local Government), presented the award to Hon. Bamigboye in his office, thanking him for being a pillar and motivation behind the success achieved by the department which was newly created in all the 57 LGAs/LCDAs by the Lagos State Government.

Receiving the award from the head of the Tourism department, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, thanked the organisers for recognizing and appreciating his effort towards nurturing the infant unit into a career-driven sector. He assured the department of more support for synergy between the state, national, and international tourism agencies that will enhance and promote the Tourism potential of Mushin Local Government.

Also at the presentation held in the chairman’s office were, Supervisor for Works & Infrastructure, Hon. Funmi Peters, Council Manager, Comrade Sogo Osikoya, HOD Works & Infrastructure, Engr. Nojeem Mabadeje, HOD Health & Medical Services, Dr. Kayode Odufuwa, and Mr. Kehinde Babatunde (S. A. on Revenue).
