Badagry Students’ Association Elects New Excos

The National Association of Badagry West Students, NABWES, has ushered in a new era of it’s leadership following an endorsement of a newly elected excos aimed propelling reforms in its association.
NABWES, in a ceremony unveiled the elected officials hinting that the initiative was held to renew hopes for a better student engagement and also facilitate their development in order to ensure their contributions for a better society in the community, Lagos State Nigeria at large.
Speaking at the event, the newly sworn-in President, Awuyon Gbeyon, commended the Executive Chairman of Badagry West LCDA, said that the new excos would be tasked on ensuring focus by the students to be driven by unity and innovation, which would be facilitated through impactful programmes aimed at improving the welfare of members.
Gbeyon mentioned that the new excos got their position’s following a free, fair and credible election which reflected the collective will of students across the Badagry West.
The President noted that the committee adhered strictly to due process and transparency, urging the newly inaugurated executives to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering on their mandate.
He also thanked the Chairman of Badagry West LCDA, Ibrahim Yemaren, who according to him has ensured an effective leadership particularly highlighting the ongoing ICT Centre project.
In his remarks, Yemaren reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare and development of students, and added, “,We are working on your bursary, and you will get it soon. The CBT Centre ongoing at Ganyigbo is another key intervention, alongside the recent presentation of free GCE forms to indigent students within the area.”
Also speaking, the Speaker of the legislative arm, Awoyemi Olamide, pledged the Assembly’s support in ensuring effective representation and accountability within the association.
