Bada presents N6.393bn Budget for 2025

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, presented the 2025 Budget of Acceleration and Consolidation, worth ₦6,393,900,000.00, to the Legislative Arm of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA. The budget aims to foster sustainable development, improve the quality of life for residents, and promote economic prosperity.

 

The “Budget of Acceleration and Consolidation” reflects the LCDA’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructural frameworks and service delivery. The term “Acceleration” highlights the urgent need to expedite development, invest in technology, and enhance vital services. On the other hand, “Consolidation” acknowledges the achievements made so far and the need to reinforce what is already working.

 

 

The proposed budget will be allocated across key sectors, including:

 

– Infrastructure Development: Upgrading roads, improving public transportation, and enhancing waste management systems.

– Education and Capacity Building: Upgrading school facilities, providing training for teachers, and investing in vocational programs.

– Healthcare Improvement: Renovating primary healthcare facilities, expanding access to essential services, and prioritizing preventive care.

– Economic Growth and Local Business Support: Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through grants and microloans.

– Youth and Women Empowerment: Funding programs aimed at empowering women and providing youth with mentorship opportunities and leadership training.

– Intensive Revenue Generation: Enhancing internal revenue generation through mandatory TV licenses and upgraded e-billing systems.

 

 

The budget proposal includes funding for various projects, such as:

 

1. Construction and rehabilitation of roads

Mayoress appealed to residents to support the budget by paying their rates and dues to the designated council bank accounts. She emphasized the importance of collaboration between the council and citizens to achieve the desired development.

 

She also called on residents to support the President and elected officers in their efforts to achieve reforms and policies aimed at fostering a better Nigeria and good Governance.

 

The 2025 Budget of Acceleration and Consolidation aims to propel Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area towards a brighter future. The Mayoress has called on the Legislative Council to support the budget proposal, emphasizing that it is a stepping stone towards realizing the shared vision of progress and prosperity.
