Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Chairman Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada is making a tremendous impact through her “Mayoress Education Support Initiative.” She distributed education materials which consist of (Bags, Books, Mathematical sets etc) to Ikosi Primary School, Express Primary School 1, and Express Primary School 2 in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA. These materials will also be distributed to the remaining 9 primary schools in the LCDA in the coming days.
Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Chairman of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, expressed her commitment to providing dividends of democracy through the Chairman’s Education Support Initiative. She mentioned that they will be taking a tour of all the primary schools in Ikosi Isheri LCDA to assess their needs and ensure they are well-equipped.
So far, they have visited three schools and have plans to visit the remaining nine schools. The Chairman, along with the vice chairman, council manager, council leaders, councilors, supervisors, management team, and HODs, are all present to give back to the community. Education is their top priority, and they want to show the pupils that they genuinely care about them.
The Chairman mentioned that they have consulted with the teachers to identify areas where they can provide support and meet the students’ needs. In Ikosi Isheri, it is their pleasure to do good, and they are known for being proactive and focused on their goals. They are determined to continue doing what they believe is best for the community without any distractions.
Princess Samiat is determined to ensure that all students in Ikosi Isheri receive equal opportunities. She emphasized that they don’t want any segregation when it comes to distributing resources. Their focus is to make sure that every student can benefit from what they bring.
She addressed the issue of cultism and drug abuse in Ikosi Isheri. She stated that they are actively fighting against these vices and will continue to do so. They are planning to take the campaign throughout Ikosi Isheri to spread awareness and provide counseling to the students.
The Head teachers and the pupils of the schools couldn’t be more thankful to the Chairman for the educational materials and her continuous support in education. They expressed their gratitude from the bottom of their hearts, knowing that Chairman’s efforts are making a significant difference in their learning journey.
