The chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Abolanle Bada, has urged residents to vote for All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidates in the 2023 general elections.
She made the call during the celebration of Ikosi-Isheri 2022 edition of Annual Cultural Carnival.
She stressed that people could testify APC is bringing dividends of democracy to the masses at the local, state and federal levels.
She stated that as a responsible and proactive government, her administration has decided to use this cultural carnival characterized by entertainment and tourism to enunciate the importance of traditions.
To promote unity irrespective of religious and ethnic differences, to encourage investors to establish in Ikosi-isheri LCDA and to promote the cultures and colours of various ethnic groups in the community.
She further stated that she has kept her campaign promises on roads and infrastructure, education and youth empowerment, social welfare and tourism, health and the environment.
While speaking on the theme ‘Our Culture, Not Our Religion’, Bada warned that people should not allow religious differences to debar celebration of culture and traditions.
The event which held at CMD events centre, Magodo was well attended by party members, stakeholders and community members at large.
