Ayra Starr Makes History with Latin Diamond Certification

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has become the first African artist to receive a Latin Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Her international hit Santa , a collaboration with Rvssian and Rauw Alejandro earned the prestigious award after surpassing 35 million streams in the United States.
This milestone places her alongside Rema, whose track Bubalu holds a Latin Platinum certification, making them the only African artists with RIAA Latin honors.
Santa has also seen massive success across Latin America and Europe, earning multi-Platinum certifications in Spain and Mexico. The song topped the charts in Spain and reached No. 2 in Colombia, Ecuador, and Central America.
