Ate’s Cup: King FC, Oshodi FC thrash opponents

The most talked about football tournament in Isolo LCDA, the Ate’s Cup kicked off recently and two teams were able to grind out impressive wins to start the tournament on a good note.
In the opening game of the competition, King FC trounced Home FC 3-1 to earn their first 3 points in the competition.
King FC allowed Home FC to dominate possession in the game as they sat back to absorb the pressure and hit their opponent on the counter attack.
Two costly errors from Home FC allowed King FC to take the lead in the game.
King FC came out stronger in the second half and took a 3 goal lead before the hour time to stun their opponents.
Home FC were able to pull a goal back late in the game as they lost the game to King FC at 1-3.
In the second game of the competition, Oshodi FC defeated Legend FC 3-1 with the goalkeeper of Oshodi FC making 7 saves in the game to win the player of the match award.
It took an helpless own goal from Legend FC player for Oshodi FC to take the lead in the encounter.
Oshodi doubled their lead afterwards and Legend FC reduced the goal deficit to 2-1 to inspire a late drama towards the end of the match.
The goalkeeper of Oshodi FC was at his best as he pulled up 7 great saves to deny Legend FC in the encounter.
Oshodi FC sealed their win with a late goal to make the score line 3-1 and thereby restored their 2 goal lead in the game.
