The Ate’s Cup in Isolo have entered it’s second round of matches in the group stage as a lot of teams have been exceptional and players too have been great on the pitch of play.
The tournament which have a total of 20 teams participating in it have recorded over 50 goals so far in the round one of matches played.
Speaking to ECHONEWS, the LOC chairman of the tournament, Fuad Akintunde popularly known as Ate Money said he’s impressed with the tournament so far from the players to the teams and the turnout of spectators.
“The purpose of the Ate’s Cup is to foster unity among the residents of Isolo and use football to bring them together for the prosperity if the community.
“The teams so far have displayed great level of unity and we thank God that no casualty have been recorded so far.
“I’m really impressed with the turnout of fans in the community, the players attitude and playing abilities and we hope, we get to see some exceptional players seek greener pastures outside the country soon.”
