The chairman of Itire Ikate LCDA , Dr Ahmed Apatira distributed food palliatives to the entire staff of the council at the council secretariat, Airways Rd. Ijesha.
The beneficiaries were council personnel, including executive/clerical officers, health workers, environmental health officers, sweepers, drivers, cleaners, security personnel, and all non-pensionable staff.
Apatira, said the the food palliatives was born on the need to ease economic hardships on the staff of the council.
“The most crucial aspect of today’s event is the spirit of empathy driving our actions. We, as a government, empathize with people from all walks of life and remain committed to helping them navigate the challenges of the current times.” He said.
The council boss expressed gratitude to the staff for their peaceful dedication to their duties and reiterated his unwavering readiness to provide support, making life easier for them. He emphasized that the distribution of food palliatives is part of the government’s efforts to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy on national lives.
