The Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has called on members of the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA) who belong to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to actively mobilise for the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise.
Johnson made the call while addressing artisans and tradesmen at the Local Government Hall, where he commended them for responding to his invitation. He said the meeting was organised to sensitise party members on the importance of revalidating their APC membership and to encourage wider participation in the exercise across LASCOTA.
According to the chairman, the APC remains a party that represents the interests and aspirations of the masses, stressing that sustained mobilisation is essential to strengthening the party at the grassroots.
He highlighted the inclusive governance approach of his administration, noting that since inception, deliberate efforts have been made to reach all segments of society. Johnson reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to people-centred policies and programmes aimed at delivering tangible benefits to residents.
Speaking on the 2027 general elections, the chairman urged party members to remain united and dedicated, emphasising the need for renewed commitment to ensure the success of the APC. He said re-electing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would help consolidate ongoing economic reforms and policy initiatives targeted at addressing current challenges and securing long-term national development.
Johnson also encouraged LASCOTA members interested in joining the APC to take advantage of the registration exercise, assuring them of the local government’s support. He said assistance would be provided to address challenges such as National Identification Number (NIN) issues and other registration-related concerns.
