The Education Secretary Oshodi-Isolo LGEA, Mr. Mayowa Alakija has hailed the Chairman Ejigbo Local Council Development Areas(LCDA), Mr. Monsuru Oloyede Bello Obe, on the establishment of a new school, Akinsanya Ajaloleru Primary School at Oke Afa area.
The school with 12 classrooms on 4,000 square metre of land, Alakija commended the chairman for the initiative.
The chairman also provided the school with reading materials, which he claimed would significantly improve the students’ academic performance.
According to the education secretary, “the efforts of the Chairman is commendable and it is worthy of emulation, over 300 pupils have enrolled to undergo studies in the facility
“The kind gesture came at a time the State Government is encouraging conducive environment for learning, calling on individuals to invest in education needs at the grassroot. The administration of Hon Monsuru Obe administration has done alot to redeem the education sector in Ejigbo LCDA.”
He said that the gesture was in keeping with the State Government’s effort, known as PROJECT ZERO, which aims to guarantee that no child is left behind in receiving a high-quality education. Within the framework of the basic education system, all children, regardless of circumstances, must attend primary school. More than 300 students and their families are happy because of the recently opened school.
With this gesture, Oshodi-Isolo LGEA now has 57 primary schools instead of 56, which should help us reach more families and students and help shape their futures to be constructive contributors to our community.
Alakija counseled the neighborhood’s parents and students to instill a maintenance mindset in government buildings in order to preserve the peaceful environment for the pupils.
