The Comptroller, Nigerian Immigration Service Lagos command on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman Igando ikotun Lcda Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde in his office .
Comptroller Bala Aliyu DANGANA said during the visit that he came to thank the Council chairman for all the support he has given to the service in the local government.
“If we are able to solve the problem of passport processing in Lagos, we would have solved 50 percent of all passport issues in Nigeria. “We have decided to open more offices in Lagos to accommodate more peo- ple. We plan to open more immigration centers in Lagos. All passport applications is now online process to eradicate corruption and Fast processes of Passport.
“One of our mandates is to eradicate human trafficking, irregular and unsafe migration that are prevalent among our youths as a result of the desire to seek greener pastures abroad,” he said.
Many foreigners enter Lagos on a daily basis without proper documentation. This is one of our responsibilities and we must tackle it.” He said.
Akinsanya thanked the Comptroller Lagos State command and his management team for the visit. He said, “the immigration service is the hospitality checkpoint of the nation and the gatekeepers and we are prepared to support the service in every way we can.” We will continue to support you all the way,” he said.
