The Chairman of the Association of Primary School Head teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Oshodi branch, Olufemi Ajayi has appealed to the government and other individuals to support the association with the provision of electronic gadgets in their new Secretariat.
According to him, the association needs equipment such as computer systems, photocopy machine, printer to function.
The association has got a new Secretariat for its Oshodi branch located in Ideal Primary School, Oshodi.
Speaking to ECHONEWS, Ajayi said the Secretariat will serve as multipurpose hall for seminars, training, meetings, symposiums and others.
He appreciated the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Education Secretary ( ES) Barr. Femi Ogunwusi for the the permission granted to renovate an empty classroom in Ideal Primary School for the purpose, to be converted to the association’s Secretariat.
“We, the AOPSHON branch in Oshodi, have been nursing the ambition of having a Secretariat and we are happy to have achieved the aim as the association has collectively powered the renovation of a classroom in Ideal Primary School given to us by the ES and we have equipped the place with cabinet to accommodate documents, ceiling fans and plastic chairs.
“We need electronic gadgets and other equipment to keep the secretariat running. We appeal to whoever that can support us in this regards.”
Commenting on the feat, the State Chairman of the Association, Mr. Olukayode Edun, commended the effort of Oshodi AOPSHON branch Chairman, Mr. Olufemi Ajayi, for the initiative of establishing a Secretariat for the association.
Edun applauded the association for achieving the success, saying it showed the association’s commitment and mutual collaboration among the members of the branch.
He noted that Oshodi AOPSHON is the first to establish a Secretariat among the Lagos State AOPSHON chapters under the auspices of Ajayi who happened to be the fifth Oshodi branch Chairman of the association.
