Ajala, Jakande Excited Over OdiOlowo Ojuwoye Players Gothia Cup Win In Sweden

Chairman of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr Rasaq Ajala and his vice (Chairman elect of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA), Mr Seyi Jakande are ecstatic over the triumph of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye players at the U16 category of the 2025 Gothia Cup in Sweden.
Seven players from OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA were sponsored by the council to be part of the SKF Nigerian Eagles team who recently became the first Africa side to win the U16 category of the Gothia Cup.
Ajala said the win gladdens his heart and the youngsters have projected OdiOlowo Ojuwoye on the global map through their exploits in Sweden.

“This is the first Africa team to win the U16 category of the Gothia Cup. It’s something that gladdens my heart I’m very happy. You could see that we are all joyous considering the fear that we just achieved.
“Which is another way of projecting OdiOlowo Ojuwoye to the global map with their performance, I think we have showed the World that we have a lot of talents and potentials that have the ability to play for Nigeria at the national team level.
“This is an icing on the cake giving the modest achievements we have achieved in eight years in office”
Chairman elect of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Jakande said the outgoing administration have finally reaped their investments in sport.
“I’m very excited, it’s a moment of joy for everyone in OdiOlowo Ojuwoye. It’s a moment that we are very grateful and thankful for.
“We have invested in raw talent and they went to bring honor and glory to OdiOlowo Ojuwoye. This shows we have World class talents. Surely, there’s more to come ahead.”
Head coach of SKF Nigerian Eagles, Azeez Mustapha described the Gothia Cup as a tough competition where the errors corrected from the previous edition played a vital role in their 2025 triumph.
