Agbaje Empowers Widows Through Community Outreach Program

In a remarkable demonstration of empathy and leadership, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, through the Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) department, hosted widows from the community and distributed relief palliatives to support them amid current economic challenges.
The initiative highlights the administration’s steadfast commitment to inclusive governance and the welfare of vulnerable groups, particularly women, who continue to play crucial roles in family and community development.
Addressing attendees during the event, Hon. Agbaje stressed the importance of empowering women and supporting widows to navigate social and financial hardships. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to implementing sustainable programs aimed at fostering economic independence, social inclusion, and community upliftment.
“Our aim is to ensure that no one in Ayobo-Ipaja is left behind. We will continue to roll out initiatives that bring relief, empowerment, and hope to our people,” he affirmed.
The widows, visibly touched by the gesture, expressed deep gratitude to the Chairman for his compassion and attentiveness. They praised the administration for prioritising grassroots welfare and demonstrating genuine concern for their needs.
Hon. Agbaje also pledged that the government would expand women-focused empowerment and skill acquisition programs designed to enhance productivity, increase household income, and promote sustainable development across all wards of the LCDA.
