Ademola Lookman says Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast in the much anticipated Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) group A tie on Thursday, January 18 at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan.

Speaking exclusively to ECHONEWS at the Super Eagles hotel in Abidjan, Lookman says the team is looking forward to the Ivory Coast encounter with the belief of getting the three maximum points at stake.

The Atalanta winger said the Elephants will have the support of the crowd but the Eagles experience will handle it effortlessly.

“We are all looking forward to the game against Ivory Coast and I see no reason why we should be afraid of them,” Lookman told ECHONEWS exclusively.

“They will have the crowd rooting for them, which will be good for them, but we have the experience to deal with that.

“For us, it’s a game we have to win taking into cognisance the result of the first game. We will go all out and make sure we make our country proud.”

Nigeria will take on the Elephants of Ivory Coast as they search for their first three points of the 2023 AFCON.
