The first chance of the game fell to Osimhen who blasted his effort over the goal post.

Equatorial Guinea soon found their feet in the game and took the lead in the 36th minute following a misunderstanding between the two Eagles center back.

Nigeria responded two minutes later as Zaidu Sanusi cross met the header of Osimhen to pull both teams on level terms.

The Super Eagles dominated proceedings in the second half as Osimhen was a major culprit in wasting chances that were close to goal.

The introduction of Samuel Chukwueze didn’t add the requisite bite in the game for the Eagles as they struggled to get past Equatorial Guinea.
