The Nigeria national team head coach, Jose Peseiro has appealed to God to heal the Super Eagles ahead of their crucial Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) tie against host team, Ivory Coast.
The Portuguese tactician didn’t hide his feeling or words towards calling on God to help the Super Eagles to attain winning against the Ivorians.
Peseiro said, It’s only God that gives victory and it’s the duty of the team to create chances as he hopes on defeating Cote D’Ivoire through God healing.
The gaffer opined that it’s very essential for the Super Eagles to do their home work, and not repeat the mistakes of the previous game.
Peseiro further highlighted how good the Ivory Coast team is but admitted that the Super Eagles are much better with good organization.
“Like I said earlier, God gives, God takes. We can only create the chances to score and hope God gives us this match against Cote D’Iviore”
“We need to do a very good match, I think it’s important to do it our way, our organization, and our capacity of playing with the attack.
“We play well, defend well with a compact team. What the team did against Equatorial Guinea is we created many opportunities but couldn’t get the result.
“Cote D’Ivoire have very good coach and good players but my team have good organization and we want to beat Cote D’Ivoire.”
