The Chief Imam of Ifelodun Mosque, Low-Cost Housing Estate, Afa Isolo, Imam Ishaq Aderibigbe, has admonished the Muslim faithful to adhere strictly to the principles of the Holy month to get the full rewards of their fasting.

According to him, the essence of the holy month is to liberate people and guide them towards good deeds.

He said the month offers the opportunity to renew “our attestation of belief which can only be achieved through observing religious rites as those deeds serve as the connection between our Lord and us.”

While preaching peaceful coexistence among the citizens of the country, the clergyman urged the Muslims to pray for the nation especially in the aspect of security.

He, however, cautioned Nigerians to refrain from illicit acts to give way for the development of each community while warning the youths against social vices.

He further encouraged the Muslim faithful to use the opportunity of the holy month to strengthen the unstable ties of brotherhood within their various communities while appreciating the efforts of Ejigbo LCDA Chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe), in the development of the council area.

The Chief Imam prayed for the success of Obe’s second term aspiration as he urged the residents to give him total support during and after the election.
