Barely a month into office, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has rolled out Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tricycles for residents of the community.
The initiative, which is part of his F.I.N.E Agenda with emphasis on “Investing in the People,” is expected to provide both employment opportunities and a cheaper, eco-friendly means of transportation within the council area.
According to the council chairman, the adoption of CNG-powered tricycles reflects his administration’s commitment to addressing the twin challenges of youth unemployment and high transport costs, while also supporting the national campaign for cleaner energy.
Community members have described the move as timely, noting that the tricycles will not only improve local mobility but also reduce the environmental impact of traditional fuel-powered vehicles.
Observers say Adebanjo’s quick start signals an administration keen on tangible grassroots development, with residents already expressing optimism that his first month in office could set the tone for wider reforms.
