Action-Packed Results Light Up Vintage/Ilupeju All Stars Cup

The 15th edition of the Vintage/Ilupeju All Stars Cup match Day Two produced thrilling, breathtaking results to define the age long competition.

A total of 12 goals were scored in the Match Day Two at the Jide Sanwo-Olu Arena, Ilupeju while two wins were secured.

Stakeholder, Mr Abass Salau said the motive of the competition is to drive unity in the community and provide a platform for youngsters to explore.

Managing Director of Vintage Powercare Limited, Mr Yomi Bode stated that, he’s satisfied with the conduct of the competition in previous editions which solidified his support towards been an headline sponsor for this year’s edition. He believes the aim of the competition is to provide support for each other in a prosperous environment.

Benny Boom continued their dominance in the Vintage Cup following their 3-0 win against bottom placed Rihanna FC. Benny Boom ran rampant against their opponents scoring with ease to top the standings with six points from two matches while netting eight goals and conceding three goals. Rhianna FC are yet to get a win after losing two matches consecutively which sees them bottom of the log with no points from two matches.

Defending champions, Vintage Powercare crushed Chinko FC 4-1 to seal their first win in two matches after losing their first game and they sit on the third position on the log with three points from two matches, four goals scored and three goals conceded. Chinko FC on the other hand slipped to the fourth position on the table following their recent loss which overshadowed their previous win. They however boast of scoring six goals and conceding a whooping seven goals.

Agaga Power FC and Bottle Blends FC shared the spoils in a fascinating four goals thriller (2-2). Agaga Power FChave only a point from two matches as they chase their first win of the campaign while Bottle Blends FC occupy the second position on the log with four points from two games.
