ACMWAMN Ikorodu Division Celebrates Iyaloja-General Busola Isikalu with Accolades, Gifts at Year-End Party

The Association of Commodity Market Women and Men Association of Nigeria (ACMWAMN), Ikorodu Division, has showered glowing tributes and generous gifts on the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Dcns. Busola Isikalu, in recognition of what members described as her dynamic, compassionate and result-driven leadership.
The outpouring of praise came during the association’s end-of-the-year party, which brought together prominent market leaders and representatives of various markets across Ikorodu Division.
Market men and women, speaking under the ACMWAMN umbrella, lauded the Iyaloja-General for providing steady leadership that has translated into growth, stability and improved welfare for traders across the division. They equally presented gifts to both Dcns. Isikalu and the Babaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Alhaji Chief Wasiu Olamilekan Jaiyesimi, describing the duo’s leadership as one that has ushered in prosperity and unity within the association.
According to speakers at the event, individual businesses and entire markets across Ikorodu Division have continued to record noticeable progress since the installation of Dcns. Isikalu as Iyaloja-General and Alhaji Jaiyesimi as Babaloja-General.
They highlighted several milestones achieved under the current ACMWAMN leadership, including access to free-interest loans facilitated by Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, as well as the donation of an official bus to the association by the Ikorodu Local Government. These interventions, they said, have eased business operations and strengthened the association’s organisational capacity.
Addressing the gathering, a retired Lagos State judge and respected market leader, Chief (Mrs.) Monsurat Dosunmu-Sholebo, praised Dcns. Isikalu for what she described as proactive and people-centred leadership since assuming office.
She publicly pledged her loyalty and continued support to the Iyaloja-General, describing her as “young, smart, respectful and purposeful,” adding that her leadership style has brought renewed confidence to market administration in Ikorodu Division.
Also speaking, the Babaloja-General of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Chief Ogunlewe, commended Dcns. Isikalu for stabilising the ACMWAMN structure across Ikorodu Division. He appealed to market leaders and traders to continue to cooperate with the Iyaloja-General in the collective interest of peace, progress and sustainable development of the association.
In her remarks, Iyaloja-General Busola Isikalu expressed deep appreciation to market men and women, executive members and stakeholders for their unwavering support and partnership. She described the show of love as both humbling and motivating, assuring members of her continued commitment to inclusive leadership, unity and the advancement of traders’ welfare across Ikorodu Division.
The event ended on a celebratory note, reflecting a renewed sense of solidarity within the Ikorodu Division market community and reinforcing confidence in the current ACMWAMN leadership as the year draws to a close.
