The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omoba Adeola Alimot Adetoro, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to enhancing education within the council area through ongoing engagement, investment in infrastructure, and teacher empowerment.
Speaking in commemoration of World Teachers’ Day 2025, themed “Collaboration is Key to Making Teachers Thrive,” Omoba Adeola lauded educators for their resilience, innovation, and immense contributions to national development.
“Teachers remain the heart of every learning community. When we collaborate, share ideas, and support one another, our teachers thrive — and when teachers thrive, our children and our future prosper,” she said.
The council boss emphasised that the success of Eti-Osa’s educational vision depends on sustained collaboration between teachers, parents, communities, and the government. She also assured that her administration will continue to upgrade school facilities, enhance teacher training, and improve welfare to ensure a more conducive environment for learning.
Omoba Adeola further urged all stakeholders to unite in supporting educators with the tools, motivation, and respect they deserve to nurture the next generation of leaders.
“Our teachers are the pillars upon which our educational system stands,” she added. “As a government, we will continue building structures that empower them to excel and inspire generations to come.”
