The Eti-Osa Local Government Authority has confirmed steady progress in the ongoing renovation of its iconic Local Government Hall, a project aimed at modernizing the facility to better serve residents and community stakeholders.
The hall—long regarded as a central venue for civic gatherings, cultural events, and community meetings—has been undergoing a comprehensive facelift to address structural wear and outdated amenities. According to officials, the renovation includes upgraded seating, improved lighting and acoustics, air-conditioning systems, and enhanced accessibility features to accommodate people with disabilities.
Speaking on the project, Executive Chairman Omo’ba Adeola Alimot Adetoro described the hall as “a cornerstone of community life” and said the upgrade was part of a broader commitment to strengthening public infrastructure. “This hall has hosted decades of important events for Eti-Osa residents,” she said. “By restoring and modernizing it, we’re ensuring future generations have a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space for civic engagement.”
Community leaders and residents have expressed optimism, noting that a revitalized hall will boost local cultural activities, weddings, seminars, and business events, while also reinforcing a sense of pride in Eti-Osa’s heritage.
The renovation is expected to wrap up later this year, with plans for a formal reopening ceremony once the upgrades are complete. Local authorities have assured residents that the project is on schedule and within budget, signaling a proactive approach to community development in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
