Bada Launches Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Task Force

In a historic ceremony held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Chairman Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada launched the Ikosi Isheri LCDA Task Force, a community-driven security initiative aimed at maintaining peace and order in markets, streets, public spaces, among others.
The task force comprises specially trained officers who have undergone six months of intense training. These individuals have demonstrated perseverance, mental toughness, and an unwavering commitment to serve the community.
The Council Boss emphasized that the task force is not just a security initiative, but a new standard for grassroots security and governance.
The task force will handle issues such as:
– Traffic Management: Regulating traffic flow, particularly in high-congestion areas like Ikosi Road.
– Market and Environmental Enforcement: Ensuring public spaces are kept clean and free from obstructions.
– Security Patrols: Conducting regular patrols to curb petty crimes and prevent illegal activities.
– Dispute Resolution and Enforcement of Local Policies: Resolving disputes and enforcing local policies, with referrals to the Customary Court for cases requiring legal intervention.
She urged all stakeholders, including community leaders, transport unions, market associations, and residents, to support, respect, and work hand-in-hand with the task force. She emphasized that the task force is a partner in maintaining order, and their duty is to protect, not intimidate.
