Phoenix Queens Boss, Prince Adetunji Excited Winning SNWFSC Girl Child Day Tourney

Phoenix Queens chairman, Prince Ganiyu Adetunji is ecstatic over his team triumph at the Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club (SNWFSC) Girl Child Day football competition.

Speaking to ECHONEWS exclusively, Adetunji said he’s elated with win and satisfied with the outcome of the match. He went down memory lane on how his side lost the previous edition final and comic back to win it this year is an awesome moment for the entire team.

He praised his players for their determination, resilience and focus to achieve the ultimate prize and believes the team deserved the accolades for emerging champions.

He disclosed this is the first trophy the team will be winning this year and hopes it opens down the floodgates to win more trophies ahead.

“I’m very happy for my team FC Phoenix Queens winning the Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club (SNWFSC) Girl Child Day football tournament. Last year we lost our in the final and this time we were determined to win it and to the glory of God, we won.

“My players really worked hard for it and they showed determination, resilience and focus to emerge champions of the competition which is organized to celebrate the Girl Child Day.

“This is our first trophy in the year 2024 and we still have more tournaments to embark on the his year. I pray winning this trophy will be our starting point this year.”
