Unification Ladies’ star left-back, Philomina Ologunleko, is optimistic about her team’s chances of securing promotion to the elite Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership from the Championship.
Ologunleko played a pivotal role in Unification’s 2-1 victory over Delta Queens, providing two outstanding assists. The promising fullback was taken aback by her own performance, which surpassed her expectations.
“I’m incredibly pleased with my performance today,” Ologunleko said. “It’s a testament to hard work and dedication. We’re grateful for the win.”
The talented defender expressed her belief in Unification’s ability to dominate the NWFL Championship and earn a well-deserved promotion.
“I’ve learned that fear should never hold me back,” she stated. “By giving my all in every game, I can contribute to my team’s success. I envision us winning every match and securing our place in the NWFL Premiership.”
