The Executive Chairman, Ejigbo LCDA, Honourable Monsurudeen Bello, has cleared the air on situations surrounding the commissioning of the rehabilitated road at Ifoshi area of the community.
Earlier, the Local Council had informed that the commissioning will be held on 29th, August. The LCDA also stated that the event will graced by the presence of His Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.
However, the occasion has been delayed and sequel to that, Bello has addressed the situation disclosing that the commissioning was postponed and not canceled.
In a statement signed by him, the Chairman notified, “This is to inform the public and all stakeholders of the postponement of the commissioning of Ifoshi Road, initially scheduled to be graced by the presence of Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (the Ojaja II) CFR today 29th August 2024 at Ifoshi Road Iyana Ejigbo.
“Contrary to circulating rumors that the event has been canceled, we wish to clarify that it has only been postponed. A new date for the commissioning will be communicated later today. We remain committed to ensuring that this important event is held successfully.
“Also, we are appealing to our esteemed invitees and guests of honor, including GAC members, HRMs, Commissioners, Ministers, and All Progressives Congress party leaders and members, for their understanding and patience at this time.
“Furthermore, we also want to reassure the public that all our ongoing projects across Ejigbo LCDA are progressing smoothly. The postponement of this particular event does not affect the momentum or commitment of the administration to delivering on its promises. We remain dedicated to the development and transformation of our community.
“To this end, We appreciate your understanding and patience as we finalize the new date for the commissioning of Ifoshi Road.”
The Chairman reassured that the community will continue to enjoy more developments as part of dividends of democracy.
