Lagos Lawmaker Begins Free Summer Coding Class For Constituents

In a remarkable display of commitment to skill development and digital literacy, the Summer Coding Class for Junior and Senior Secondary School students from Mushin Constituency II has kicked off with gusto, providing a valuable platform for students to acquire crucial digital skills and capabilities that will position them competitively in the global arena.

 

The Coding Class, organized by Mr. Toyin Fayinka in collaboration with INNOVATIVE MUSHIN, is taking place at Ajumoni Secondary School Compound in Daleko, Mushin, and began with a thrilling first day of classes.

 

 

On the inaugural day of the Coding Class, the participants were visibly eager, recognizing the tremendous potential of the class to equip them with the necessary digital skills to compete with their peers at a global level.

The facilitators, in turn, were observed imparting valuable knowledge on the fundamentals of computing, ethical considerations, and rules pertaining to the summer camp. This marked the beginning of a productive and exciting journey for the students, as they embarked on their learning adventure.

 

 

The Principals of Ajumoni Junior and Senior Secondary Schools warmly welcomed the young learners, urging them to maximize the opportunity presented by the Coding Class to achieve academic excellence within their respective schools.

 

Parents and guardians of the participants were equally effusive in their praise for the Lawmaker, lauding his foresight in organizing such an invaluable initiative that would greatly benefit their children and wards. This overwhelming support serves as a testament to the importance and relevance of digital skills training in the present-day educational landscape.

 

 

“We want to thank Mr. Fayinka for this free coding class for our children. We are optimistic that they will be equipped with skills and 21st century IT skills that will not only enable them compete with their global counterparts but also solve some of the challenges we are facing in the country,” Mrs. Rashidat Owolabi, one of the parents who accompanied her child to the summer class said.
