It came as a rude shock in Jakande Estate Okeafa Ejigbo when a retired soldier committed suicide by hanging himself to death.
The deceased popularly known as Baba Korede resided at Block 110 flat four with his family and was known to be a jovial person.
According to a staff of Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) who pleaded anonymity said the deceased was above the age of 60 and they got to know of the information through neighbors and that his wife sells food at Iyana Isheri junction beside Dawah school.
“Baba Kayode is what everyone calls him. Block 110. His wife, iya Kayode sells food between mama plastics and furniture shop before Dawah school, Iyana Isheri bus stop. He was always sitting in his wife’s shop.
“Both of them were always gisting. The wife is always the first to greet me welcome on my way back from work every time I pass.”
Some residents expressed shock over the death of the deceased as he’s known to be an easy going person.
