Sanwo-Olu Approves Appointment of Four New Permanent Secretaries

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries in the Lagos State Public Service.

A release signed by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola said the appointments were based on merit, as the appointees were selected from the pool of qualified candidates sequel to the Executive Development and Screening Exercise for eligible Directors, held in April, 2022.

Muri-Okunola congratulated and expressed his confidence in the new appointees, having shown great promises, and intellectual competencies, which make them qualified to serve as Permanent Secretaries in the Lagos State Public Service.

He listed the newly-appointed Permanent Secretaries include the former Director, Administration and Human Resources/General Manager, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAS), Mrs. Kilanko Asisat Olaperi, who is to now serve as the Permanent Secretary of MVAA, and the former Principal of Aguda Community Senior Secondary School, Aguda, Surulere, Mr. Lawal Fatai Idowu, who has been deployed to Education District V as Permanent Secretary.

Others are the former Director, Finance and Accounts, Lagos State Public Works Corporation (PWC), Mrs. Atekoja Oloruntoyin Ganiyat who is also deployed to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. The former Director of Administration and Human Resources, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Mr. Gbajumo Kehinde was posted to the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development as Permanent Secretary.

While wishing the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries a successful tenure, Muri-Okunola implores them not to rest on their oars by ensuring they discharge their duties effectively and efficiently.
