A group of youths loyal to the incumbent chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe), has created a group called Obe Progressives Team (OPT), to work for the realisation of his second term in office.
The team coordinator, Hon. Agabi-Anofiu Aleshinloye, a former councillor representing Ilamoshe Ward and Chief Whip of Ejigbo LCDA Legislative Arm, who spoke to ECHONEWS extensively about the team, said it was created to promote the interest of the LCDA and the good works and legacy of the local council chairman.
Aleshinloye, who is the Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ilamoshe Ward, stated that with the way the chairman operates, he deserves to run the affairs of the council area once more to perfect the development of the community.

“It is an independent group created by a team of professionals in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area to promote the interest of the LCDA and that of the good works and legacy of our Indefatigable, competent and ever versatile Chairman (Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello).
“The group stands to promote the good works of the Mayor of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Monsuru Oloyede Bello Obe; to project the technical expertise, leadership prowess and administrative acumen of the chairman towards his re-election as the Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA; to canvass electorate within the confines of Ejigbo LCDA and bring to their notice and or remind them of all the projects as promised and timely delivered by the council chairman. It is also to recruit, harness and unite talented men, women, old and young irrespective of class, creed, religion and ethnic background as a vanguard to champion and advance the core interest of Hon. Monsuru Bello Obe for re-election as the Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA In 2021.”
He emphasised: “The team remains a dynamic, resourceful and pragmatic campaign group to further the interest
of our LCDA Chairman in order to continue the good works he is doing in our Local Council Development Area.
We remain committed to the spirit of continuity and progressive actions and decisions that are putting Ejigbo on the threshold of Greatness.
Asked how the group is planning to help Obe win the election right from the party primary, Aleshinloye said: “To promote peace and progress amongst leaders, elders before, during and after the re-election bid, to embark on House to House and solidarity efforts towards his re-election as the Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA in 2021 and gather, receive, collect, collate and disseminate campaign materials at every nook and cranny of Ejiggo towards his re-election.”
