Ejigbo LCDA council leader Hon. Lanre Akinbowale (Larry), has reached out with covid-19 relief food items to the indigents and the aged in his community, saying his effort was to complement that of the council chairman, Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe).

While distributing the items to the residents in his Ward at Ilamoshe, Akinbowale charged the people to cooperate with the government and comply with the stay at home order to curb coronavirus in Ejigbo community.

He appealed to those who did not benefit from his relief packages to be calm, saying the resources available at his disposal could not be sufficient for everybody at once.

He therefore needed to reach out to the less privileged ones in the community especially the aged people to ease them at this period of lockdown.

He said: “I donated in my own little way to the less privileged, vulnerable and the elderly ones in my community in order to cushion the effect of the lockdown order of the federal government due to coronavirus pandemic.

“I was able to distribute 250 loaves of bread, 70 pieces of 1kg semolina and 60 packs of two dericas of Ijebu garri. I covered about 15 streets in my ward including Akogun Street, Aina, Lafenwa, Wahabi Close, Erinfolami, Taiwo, Association Avenue, and Tipper garage among others, all in Ilamoshe ward which I represent as a councillor.

“As difficult as it may be, please let us endeavour to stay at home and maintain a good personal hygiene, Coronavirus is real.

“I would have loved it to be all inclusive and provide this support across board but due to the limited resources available at my disposal it wasn’t possible.

“However, let us join hands together in combating this pandemic; together we will defeat coronavirus to the glory of God.”
