The rate of criminal activities in the Fayemi Area of Ejigbo has reduced considerably as revealed by the Community Development Association (CDA).
It was reported that some hoodlums had turned Fayemi Transformer Junction their hideout from where they attack people going to work at early hours of the morning and late in the night.
They snatched phones and collected money from unsuspecting people passing along the area and went scot free.
However, with the intervention of the police and members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) parading the area, the CDA Chairman, Chief Babatunde Yaya, told ECHONEWS that the crimes have been curtailed in the area as some of the criminals were apprehended.
He said though they were later released, it was noticed that since the arrests were made there has not been any report of attack of innocent passersby in the area.
He noted that some people still panic while passing along the area as some of the boys are still seen around but their activities have been tamed.
