70-Year-Old Lagos Resident Gets N200,000 Bail Over Charges Of Infrastructure Vandalism

The Magistrate Court in Bolade, Oshodi, has granted bail to a 70-year-old man, Kayode Otitoju, who is facing prosection on account of alleged vandalizm of Lagos State infrastructure.

Otitoju was arraigned at the court having been alleged to have commited the act in Lekki phase 1 area of the State.

The septuagenarian was said to have vandalized a fence constructed by the state in the area. He was arrested on Sunday and thereafter pleaded not guilty to the accusations at the court.

His counsel, Oluwaseun Ettu, applied for bail on lenient terms, which the court granted.

Terms to navigate to perfect the bail bail include a N200,000 bond, provision of one surety, submission of a three-year tax clearance certificate, and verification of the surety’s address.

The court adjourned the case to July 25, 2025, for the commencement of the trial.
