30,000 out-of-school children return to schools in Lagos – LASG
A total of 30,000 out-of-school children have been kitted and returned to schools in Lagos State, between 2024 till date.
Commissioner for Basic Education, Tolani Alli-Balogun revealed this on Thursday while briefing newsmen about the Ministry’s activities to mark the second year of the second tenure of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
According to the commissioner, the students were reintegrated into various schools across the state in line with the government’s commitment in ensuring that every child has a right to quality education.
The commissioner also disclosed that a total of 407 primary and secondary schools were established by the government within the period under review to accommodate the increasing number of pupils and students in Lagos.
