2024 NSF: Team Nigeria Wusu Kungfu Gold medalist, Onabanjo Eyes Ambitious Future

Team Lagos gold medalist in Wusu Kungfu minus 70kg category, Goodness Onabanjo has thrown up her ambitions after clinching a gold medal for the first time in her career at the 2024 Gateway Games in Ogun State.
The young talented athlete previously won silver at the last National Sport Festival (NSF) in Delta State as she finally clinched a gold medal at the 2024 Gateway Games.
Onabanjo believes she deserves the attention and fame which came after winning a gold medal at the NSF which she felt honored and grateful for.
She disclosed that her mission coming for the 2024 Gateway Games is to win the gold medal which was snatched off her at the last Sport Festival in Delta State.
The talented youngster however said this will have a remarkable impact in her career and future.
“I deserve all the attention, I feel good actually, I feel honored, blessed and I’m just very grateful.
“I had the mission of coming to win a medal at the National Sport Festival because I won silver at the last Sport Festival in Delta State and this year I finally landed gold.
“Actually, winning this gold medal will add positively to my career and the pressure on me was too much and I knew, I just have to win the gold medal because I worked towards it and I achieved it.”
Onabanjo revealed her next ambition is to represent Nigeria at the international level starting with the next Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, in July 2026.
“Hopefully, my next ambition is to represent Nigeria at international sport events. I know this will require more training and I have to improve to get to that level.”
