2024 NSF: Lagos Wusu Kungfu Boss Ecstatic Over Athletes Achievements

The chairman of the Lagos State Wusu Kungfu Association (LSWKA), Prince Kamaldeen Oyekan is delighted with the medals won by Wusu Kungfu fighters at the 2024 National Sport Festival tagged Gateway Games in Abeokuta.

Despite not winning any medal in the NSF before, Team Lagos Wusu Kungfu athletes stood tall to win four gold medals.

Oyekan appreciated the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Sport Commission boss, Lekan Fatodu for providing the adequate support and training materials to achieve the success in the Gateway Games.

He poured accolades on the LSWKA coaches and athletes for making the state proud and disappointing the critics who never gave them any chance.

“Firstly I want to thank Almighty Allah for giving me the opportunity to serve Lagos State and to his Excellency governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, DG Lekan Fatodu because without them we can’t achieve successes in Wusu Kungfu.

“I appreciate my coaches for giving the necessary support to train this athletes who have performed wonderfully well.

“People never expected Lagos State to win any medal in Wusu Kungfu but and I keep telling the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) that we will win medals which we achieved with four gold medals.
